Turbulence Simulation Group

### Overview The Turbulence Simulation Group at Imperial College London develops and applies cutting-edge numerical methods to investigate turbulent flows using leadership-class supercomputers. Our research drives a deeper understanding of turbulence and its manifestation in diverse engineering applications. ### Research Focus * **High-order finite-difference methods** for accurate, low-cost simulations * **Scalable algorithms** optimised for modern high-performance computing architectures * **Applications** spanning aerospace, mechanical and environmental engineering ### Key Tools & Collaborations * **Xcompact3d** * A suite of highly scalable, high-order flow solvers * Built on the 2DECOMP&FFT library for efficient domain decomposition * Developed in collaboration with partners in France, the US and Brazil * **2DECOMP&FFT** * A parallel domain-decomposition and FFT library ### Resources * **Group Website:** [www.turbulencesimulation.com](https://www.turbulencesimulation.com) * **Xcompact3d Website:** [www.xcompact3d.com](https://www.xcompact3d.com) * **Xcompact3d GitHub:** [github.com/xcompact3d](https://github.com/xcompact3d) * **2DECOMP&FFT Documentation:** [2decomp-fft.github.io](https://2decomp-fft.github.io)
